By Juliette Binet
This book is a play of gazes: the reader watches two children placed on either side of the book and, through their eyes, discovers a flurry of butterflies that, in turn, seem to be watching them. Without beginning or end, this book is a true reading experience. A construction game that invites us, for the pleasure of the eyes, to follow across the pages the shapes and colours of these butterfly wings as they intermingle.
Juliette Binet is a singular artist whose work displays great rigor and coherence. She is the author of numerous books, and Papillons is her first real encounter with colour and her first book with Éditions des Grandes Personnes. 24 pages with die-cuts
